This event will provide an introduction to the principles of classification and labelling of biocidal products within GB. It will address the regulatory framework and provide an overview of the classification and labelling of substances and mixtures. It will include sessions on the classification of biocidal products, mixtures and labelling and packaging requirements under GB CLP.
The workshop will be delivered by HSE regulatory specialists. The event will consist of a mixture of presentations, breakout sessions for worked examples and opportunities for Q&A.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a great understanding of the classification and labelling system in GB and its application to biocidal products.

What classification is, why it's needed, and where it comes from
The data requirements for GB CLP and classification of biocidal products
How substances and mixtures are classified
Practical examples of products to give delegates the opportunity to apply their new knowledge
Labelling and packaging requirements under GB CLP
Question and answer sessions

Technical and regulatory staff who are new in role and responsible for self classification or labelling of biocidal products. There is no requirement for delegates to have extensive existing knowledge of classification and labelling or to have attended a previous HSE (CRD) workshop.
