Overview
This training event will focus on conducting degradation kinetic assessments for environmental fate and behaviour assessments of Plant Protection Products (PPPs) or Active Substances for GB and NI. Degradation kinetics are critical to regulatory assessments for PPPs, underpinning key environmental exposure modelling endpoint selection as well as being integral to active substance persistence assessments that support active substance approval.
The event will comprise a mixture of presentations, a hands-on workshop and discussions covering common issues that occur with active substances and metabolites. The event will conclude with an open question and answer session.
The training will be delivered by senior HSE regulatory specialists and be based on regulatory experience gained in HSE since the FOCUS kinetics guidance was originally released. The event will help attendees improve the quality of submissions and to understand how these will be reviewed and considered by the GB regulator.
