Overview

HSE will be hosting a bitesize event focused on providing an overview of the regulatory expectations for potential active co‑formulants under the GB Biocidal Products Regulation (GB BPR) and Control Of Pesticides Regulations (COPR) frameworks. The event will cover why justification of potential active co‑formulants is required and how to identify potential active substances within a product formulation. It will also explain how to demonstrate that a co‑formulant is non‑active within a formulation, as well as how to robustly justify presence of more than one active substance in the same product type under COPR.

The session will be delivered by HSE efficacy regulatory specialists. While the broad scope of the topic means not all scenarios can be covered in detail, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion at the end of the session.

 

Learning outcomes

Delegates will be provided with knowledge and practical guidance to help them:

- Understand why justification on potential active co-formulants is a requirement under the GB BPR/ COPR

- Successfully identify potential active co formulants within the product formulation

- Demonstrate that a co-formulant(s) is active/non-active within a formulation
